OSB or oriented strand board is a versatile and durable building board. It’s construction is similar to that of Plywoo with opposing-orientation of wood fibres that creates rigidity and strength. OSB has superb load-bearing properties, excellent cross dimensional stability and an attractive wood patterned finish.

There are several grades of OSB and they are suitable for different things. Kingspan Thermawall TWis a high-performance insulation board with low thermal conductivity. Oriented Strand Board uses the same system as plywood: opposing-orientation of wood-fibres creates rigidity, allowing a very stiff panel without great weight.
